About Liz
Rhodebeck
I am a freelance feature writer for Lake Country
Publications in Hartland, Wisconsin, with articles appearing in 30
West, Living on the Lake, and Metro Parent West, as well as
writing the weekly Pewaukee News column in the Lake Country Reporter
newspaper. Prior to that, I worked as a feature writer for CNI
Newspapers in suburban Milwaukee. For the past ten
years, I have been a facilitator at the annual Creative Writing
Festival for high school students at the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater, which attracts 600-800 students every year
from all over Wisconsin and the Chicago area. I have also
taught creative writing workshops for elementary and middle school
students, and been a guest speaker at area schools.
An accomplished poet, I have published poems
in state and national journals, and am active in poetry programs in
the community. (See the “Poetry” page for more details.)
I am also involved in community arts
organization and serve as director of my church's communication
ministry. |
